We’ve got sad news to report: 16-year-old Peyton Lina-Felter of Colorado was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer on her 16th birthday, making her the youngest woman in the U.S. to develop this common form of ovarian cancer.

Peyton, named for retired football star Peyton Manning (who recently called her to encourage her in her fight), said her symptoms started with severe back and abdominal pain as well as severe bloating. To date, she’s gone through 6-rounds of chemo (so sad) and a surgery to remove the tumors.

While she’s not done with treatment, she’s staying positive.

Our heart goes out to her and her family. Stay positive and fight hard.
