At Health Nut News we always like to encourage you to be the healthiest you can be. For some of you that’s a diet change which allows you to lose the weight that puts you at risk for cancer, heart disease, diabetes, etc. For others, that means a plant-based diet for better hormone health. And for still others, that means cutting back on sugar and alcohol.

While moderate wine drinking has been shown to have healthful effects on the body, too much drinking can cause a host of issues, including weight gain. So, what happens if you stop? Check out the people below from a Reddit thread, who quit drinking and radically changed their health and weight. Well done, everyone.

One user who goes by the name of ghostbackwards showed off the transformation he made in just seven months with the side by side photos above. He appears to have lost weight, his skin is no longer red,”1 and his beard hair even looks healthier!

Here’s another man who shared his before and after pictures that took place over two years. Once living with a drinking problem he said:

“My life is 180 degrees from where it was just two years ago. I am thankful for sobriety and thankful to have a second chance at life.”2

The Reddit user who goes by the name brittsuzanne also shared her transformation with the world; in the eight and a half months between the photos, she lost at least 35 pounds. (Beyond not drinking, none of the users shared diet or exercise plans.)
