You know what they say, “If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen!” And it seems that’s exactly what Governor Rick Scott did during a recent campaign stop. (Scott, who is challenging U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson this fall, has been on a campaign bus tour across the state.)

After being confronted by dozens of protesters who had jammed the sidewalk outside the restaurant Scott was visiting, our dear governor was forced to use the back door, leaving after only ten minutes.

Members of the crowd even shouted “coward” at him as he was leaving!

And last week, Scott “invited supporters to a popular doughnut shop in northwest Florida but was a no-show to the event after protesters showed up outside.” 1 Keep it classy, buddy.
