On Wednesday, a federal judge ordered that Martin Shkreli should sit in jail while he awaits sentencing on charges of defrauding investors. This decision happened after Judge Kiyo Matsumoto found that Shkreli had offered $5,000 dollars on Facebok to anyone who obtained a sample of Hillary Clinton’s hair. 1

Shkreli did apologize for his Facebook post in a letter he filed with the court and addressed to Matsumoto.

Although Shkreli’s attorney argued that Pharma Bro’s Facebook followers “understood that the offer was posted in jest, and that it almost certainly wouldn’t have been taken seriously,”2 the judge dismissed that argument.
