FIVE FLORIDA DISPENSARIES APPROVED TO DISPENSE MARIJUANA

According to WPTV, nearly a year behind schedule, Florida health officials on Monday selected five “dispensing organizations” to grow, process and distribute non-euphoric medical marijuana for a select group of sick patients.

These five or more  cannabis nurseries would be allowed to dispense CBD-rich “Charlotte’s Web” strain statewide.

You might be most familiar with Charlotte’s web in CBD (low THC) oil used to help

The five approved organizations are:

  • Northwest Region – Hackney Nursery Company in Quincy
  • Northeast Region – Chestnut Hill Tree Farm, LLC in Alachua
  • Central Region – Knox Nursery, Inc. in Winter Garden
  • Southwest Region – Alpha Foliage, Inc. in Homestead
  • Southeast Region – Costa Nursery Farms, LLC in Miami

The approved organizations have 10 business days to post a $5 million performance bond.

If an approved applicant fails to post the performance bond within the required time frame, the applicant with the next highest score in the dispensing region will be selected and notified.

Approved dispensing organizations must request cultivation authority within 75 days of being notified of their selection and begin cultivation within 210 days.

The department initiated administrative rulemaking to establish the protocol for the inspection of the five dispensing organizations.

This news comes as a sweet surprise to thousands of Floridians who are suffering from symptoms that the drug has proven to treat. The parents of children who have epilepsy are particularly thrilled as they have been waiting for years for this to be legalized while their children suffer and some even die.

I lived in California throughout the 90s where it was legal back then and helping children.

Amazing it took this long but finally the sunshine state has come to their senses.

Full disclosure: I have suffered from seizure activity for several years – mainly due to the Lyme. It has subsided but I will have cannabis oil on hand legally soon if it were to flare up again.
