In 2016, Mark Starmer of British Columbia, Canada did something unheard of; knowing that many shelter dogs were old and unadoptable, he built an enclosure on 4-acres of his property, with his own money, and adopted 45 dogs. Starmer took easy and tough cases and brought them home so they could have an amazing life.
Check out the video below which shows them being introduced to their new pen for the first time…oh and get a load of that view!
Nothing makes a dog happier than giving it an opportunity to run around freely outside! And now, for the rest of their lives, their 4-acre enclosure will allow them to do just that, safely, without getting lost.
Starmer, who also has a grey wolf gives all his fur babies everything they need for a healthy and joyful life and says even though it’s a lot of work, caring for them all is a labor of love. 1
