Editor’s note: Brandy’s family and closest friends are following her directives and will launch an independent investigation as well, just as she asked if this ever happened to her. You can find that link here.

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s office announced that they, along with coroners detectives are launching a full official investigation into the death of our  friend and colleague, Brandy Vaughan, who was known by millions for her health freedom advocacy as well as the founder of the well known non profit, Learn the Risk. Brandy died suddenly in her mid 40s on December 7th, 2020. Vaughan leaves behind one young son whom I’ve had the honor of meeting. He was the one who found his mother that fateful day.

From the article:

On Monday, the Sheriff’s Public Information Officer Raquel Zick posted an update on Twitter stating that “Coroners Detectives are conducting an investigation into the December 7th death of 45-year-old Brandy Vaughan of Santa Barbara.”

“The decedent has been positively identified and the death is believe [sic] to be a result of natural causes based on an autopsy exam conducted last week,” Zick stated.

Zick goes on to state in a second tweet: “The final cause and manner of death determination are pending toxicology screening which normally takes 4 to 6 weeks.”

The sheriff’s office then added the #BrandyVaughan hashtag to their tweet which we appreciate.

The article quoted me, Erin Elizabeth, as you can see in the link below.

We are happy to hear that an official investigation by authorities is being conducted on the suspicious sudden death.

We spoke with a top forensic scientist PhD on the subject who will remain nameless at this time (after waking them at 3am) who answered my question as to whether they think it’s an open & shut case.

“They wouldn’t be doing an investigation if it were” he replied sleepily.

We hope there will be justice for Brandy Vaughan.

We broke the sad news to the world in the first article published on the subject here.

You may recall her very specific directives that she published many times before her death were that if she died suddenly that she would have her friend (Tina Marie, who is also a friend of mine) do a GoFundMe and have an independent autopsy as well as hire detectives to do a proper investigation.

Her friend Tina had raised nearly $70,000 and it was climbing thousands an hour.

Sadly it was reported, and GoFundMe (which has a history of donating to anti health freedom stalkers like Craig Egan (more on that later) and shutting down health freedom fundraisers) is not to be trusted.

Now there is a campaign on Go Get Funding which you can find here.

We want to honor Brandy’s wishes, and if you can donate or share the fundraiser we know the family and friends closest to her would be appreciative. Every penny will be accounted for in the independent investigations so that we might have justice for Brandy. It would be a disservice not to do as she instructed.

Time is of the essence here and we do plan on sharing a fundraiser for her son (who has an awesome grandmother who will be raising him) when that is posted.

We have lost so many holistic doctors and activists over the last 5 years, who I wrote about in real time, that it has left me heartbroken.

My unintended doctor death series can be found here, and I’ll be publishing my series of activists found dead shortly.

Until then be safe, hold your loved ones close and stay healthy.
