After the podcast Invisibilia explored the idea that personality changes over time, co-host Lulu Miller wondered if there was anything about us that stayed the same- even down to our cells.

While the world changes moment by moment, it would be nice to think we could count on our on bodies to stay constant! So, do we change?

Yes!

Apparently, each of our body parts has its own lifespan. For instance, the lining of our stomach is renewed every couple of days (which makes sense given the constant digestive acid) but are bones are “refreshed” once a DECADE! New bones at 10, 20, 30, etc!
