We are sad to announce that Jim Marrs, 74, has passed away. According to his Facebook page, he died of a heart attack on August 2nd. He had recently been put on dialysis. 1

Our heart goes out to his wife Carol and the rest of their family and friends.

Marrs was a former journalist and New York Times best-selling author of books and articles on a wide range of “conspiracies.” In fact, as a prominent figure in the JFK conspiracy press, his book Crossfire was a source for Oliver Stone’s film JFK. 2

He is also well known for writing books “asserting the existence of government conspiracies regarding aliens, 9/11, telepathy, and secret societies. He was once a news reporter in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex and taught a class on the assassination of John F. Kennedy at University of Texas at Arlington for 30 years. Marrs was a member of the Scholars for 9/11 Truth.”3
