This week, State Rep. Kelly Townsend (R) Arizona, wrote a lengthy Facebook post warning that measles outbreaks might result in Arizonans having to “give up our liberty, the very sovereignty of our body.”1She went on to call state-mandated vaccines a “communist value.”1 Sorry, we don’t blame her for her anger or concern.

RELATED STORY:

She wrote in part, “I read yesterday that the idea is being floated that if not enough people get vaccinated, then we are going to force them to. The idea that we force someone to give up their liberty for the sake of the collective is not based on American values but rather, Communist.”1

Her post was likely a response to Gov. Doug Ducey (R) comment that the state is “pro-vaccination” and he will not sign any bills “that expanded vaccine exemptions passed by the state’s House Health and Human Services Committee.”1What a real peach that guy is. Regardless of what the people want, he’s already made up his mind.

But Townsend isn’t just concerned as an elected official, she’s also the mother of a vaccine injured daughter and she just really wants Arizonans to educate their families about “the fundamentals of liberty.”1

“I am going to demand … that we insist that we spend the time and money on discovering what in these vaccines is causing so much injury, instead of insisting on taking your liberty in the name of the collective.”1

She then signed her Facebook post, “Live free or die.” See it below:

Townsend’s post drew national attention and after some backlash online, pressure, and possible death threats,  she wrote another Facebook post defending her comments, saying that “maybe [she] meant to say, Socialist.” 1 Although we think she got it right the first time.

RELATED STORY:

She said,

“The point here isn’t whether or not we should vaccinate, that’s for another post. The point is whether or not your body is sovereign or if the government can force you to be injected against your will.”1

Townsend believes that every parent should have the right to choose whether or not to vaccinate their child,

“My child is at risk from being injured from a vaccine and your child is potentially at risk if my son catches something. Whose child is more important? Where’s the line?”1

Although the WHO, American Academy of Pediatrics, and CDC have all endorsed vaccines and called them safe, all three centers have had major corruptions and the CDC was caught lying last year about the death of one of their own, Dr. Timothy Cunningham, who was found dead in a river near their offices after allegedly speaking out against the status quo. Atlanta PD said the CDC claimed he was denied a promotion but the CDC did a press release that wasn’t true. Most believe the police over the CDC at this point, which shows how little they are trusted. You couldn’t pay me all the money in the world to work there.

RELATED STORY:

Rest in Peace Dr. Cunningham, a two time Harvard graduate whose own family said he’d never do something like this (it was ruled a suicide).
