If you are looking to live a life past 100 years, you probably have an organized plan to keep your health in check. However, that might not be how to achieve longevity. In fact, Scotland’s oldest woman has some interesting advice for those looking to achieve a long life. Jessie Gallan is a 109-year-old, and her advice is hilarious.

She left home at just 13 years old and began milking cows for a living. She describes her young hard work experiences as important lessons. She says she learned very early in life the importance of working hard to make a living. “I worked hard and seldom would I ever take a holiday,” she said. Her advice for a long life? Staying away from men! “They’re just more trouble than they’re worth,” Jessie said in an interview with the Daily Mail. Because Jessie refused to rely on another person, she never married. A caregiver at the nursing home where she resides describes her as ‘absolutely amazing.’
